Larry,
Good challenge. Hope I don't get in trouble for plowing a second-hand furrow
but I've been a dollar short and a day late to every thread I've mentioned
on T&T.
I'm thinking about-- not tomorrow or the next day but sometime in the
future-- of painting my boat. DIY. Likely rolled. Have the benefit of an
excellent boat painter. Cubano. He's going to guide me through prepping and
painting a 30 square foot detail stripe on my fly bridge with flag blue
Awlgrip. He has all the material I need to mask, sand and prime it. All I
have to buy is a quart of paint, the catalyst and the reducer I think it's
called.
Now, can we entertain ourselves with the folly of a rank amateur trying to
paint his boat. Pros and cons of Awlgrip, Imron, Signature finishes. 5' test
would be outstanding, 10' acceptable. Am I too much of a Pollyanna?
Regards,
