Hmmm. I just plugged my Gateway laptop into a Kill-a-Watt plugged into a 
household outlet and worked for an hour and a half. Per K-a-W, after 1.35 
hours, the laptop consumed 0.030 kWH, or 30 Watt-Hours, or approx 20 Watts.
