Although I don't have firsthand experience with this product and glass, I do
have experience with using 3m VHB tape to bond aluminum sheets to aluminum
structure.  The bonding is incredible.  A company that I work closely with has
been using it for over 20 years with no failures.  They have seen metal
failure of the sheet aluminum (.090) before joint failure.  I've been warned
to stay away from other brands of VHB tape.  I plan to use the tape in my new
boat project that will start in a couple years.
