T&T: Window Glass Adhesive

This topic area is something that I did some research on a couple of
years ago. I never actually used the information so my recollections are
a little vague, but here goes...

I found some documentation on the web that described the technique of
attaching windows without mechanical fasteners, like the way it's done
on the front windows of most cars.

The adhesives that are commonly used are UV sensitive and have to be
protected from direct sunlight. This is generally done by applying a UV
screen "paint" over the front side of the glass, that will then protect
the adhesive underneath the glass.

Preparation of all the surfaces involved is required and this is a
meticulous task which must be done by-the-book.

Search in google using the PDF file names. This will lead you to to web
sites with the latest information.

The materials used are not in the Marine Catalogs, search under Glazing.
