T&T: Plastic Door Material Needed

The question about where to get small quantities of engineered 
plastic for door slides is a frequent one here on the list. Many 
good sources - McMaster, MSC Direct and others have been suggested.

Here is another source - a local CNC machining shop. 

There is a local aerospace CNC machining shop in my area that 
supplies material to boaters all the time for a nominal fee, as long 
as you don't ask them to do anything with it - i.e. cut it to a 
particular size. 

They start each new job with new material in order to maintain ISO 
material certification, and always have left overs on the shelf.

So look up local shops in your area. You can be sure that they will 
have leftover material around.
