Larry,

If you plug the limber holes that connect the forward and after bilge, how
will you bail the water out of the forward bilge?

I recommend that you leave the limber holes alone and either use an electric
bilge pump for each hull or use a self-bailing drain plug which is what I do
in my 10' Livingston.

I am interested in how your flotation shoe boxes work out because I have been
thinking about doing something similar to mine.

Just so you know, catamarans are not required to float.  Only monohull boats.
