Scott,
You bring up an interesting thought relevant to your cruising information
resources. Perhaps it would be helpful for everyone if a list was developed
by you with everyone's input of such resources. I would certainly
appreciate such a useful compilation.
Kindest regards,
Leonard Brunotte

Sadly I find myself agreeing with Joel. I'm pretty good at taking advice
and when I got several suggestions to join SSCA I went ahead and sent them
the money and became a member. I found I only read the pamphlet and web
site a few times and quickly became uninterested. I think there are people
who benefit tremendously from membership, especially when they are
introduced to all those wonderful people that have made the organization
work for so long. My experience is that there is no shortage of places to
spend my time and money for cruising info and SSCA hasn't kept pace with
resources like Panbo, Active Captain, Passagemaker.com and other sources.
Again, don't get me wrong, I'm certain the people that make up the
organization are wonderful, it's just that I didn't get any real value out
of participation.
