Larry,

You are a pessimist, Rich is an optimist and I still believe in the Easter
Bunny. You think that everyone who has a boat for sale wants to sink it and
Rich thinks that insurance companies are going to start doing things that make
sense. I guess that I also believe in the Tooth Fairy. Although my beliefs
are not insured, they are for sale.

I think that the insurance companies should try and determine if boats
were for sale at the time of the hurricane. The insurance companies
should then try and determine if those boats were as prepared for the
storm as boats that were not for sale or boats that were self insured.
I think that the results might supprise them.

I do not know how long most owners keep their boats. But, if the number
of almost new boats on the market (two or three years old) are any
indication, they are not kept very long. If a boat is insured for hull
value, what better way to dispose of it than thru a hurricane.
