T&T: South Florida Circle

In early November I plan on during the S. FL Circle: East across the
Okeechobee to Stuart, down the ICW to Marathon and probably direct from
Marathon to Ft. Myers.

I would appreciate some suggestions for good one or two night anchorages on
the East Coast and Keys. I'm pretty familiar with the West coast.

I plan on having Claiborne Young's Guides to Eastern FL and the Keys on
board. However, I'd like to hear about some "don't miss" spots. I can't
remember the name, but from years ago I remember a nice little pond right
off the ICW in FT. Lauderdale that was a good overnight anchorage: the local
constabulary wouldn't let you spend more than a night or two. Also there
has been mention on this net of a good anchorage and cruiser's bar in, I
think, Islamorada. How about a good anchorage in the Miami area? Thanks
for any help.
