"we are in the Chesapeake Bay"
I live aboard, lower Chesapeake bay. I have had lectra/sans on both boats I have lived on. I installed a new one on my Trumpy in 2005 and used it with zero problems or maintenance until I sold the boat in Nov. 2007. I bought my President in Oct 2007 and it was already equipped with a lectra/san which looks fairly old, I have cleaned the electrodes per user manual once, when it was locking out. So far no other problems. I do not use a salt feed unit, but simply add table salt to the bowl before flushing.
I want to remember that somewhere I read or heard that the electrode plates were good for 700 or so cycles, but that may be wrong, my memory aint what it used to be.........
