T&T: Pack-up dripless

Rich,

I concur with using good old Teflon impregnated packing.  While many tell you
it requires an occasional dripto monitor, in my opinion they really do not.
I use three wraps of packing and monitor with a laser temperature sensor to
ensure they are not too tight.  Since I am in the engine room mid-day at the
minimum checking engine temps a flash on the shaft log with the laser will
provide you peace of mind.
