T&T: Winter Bubbler's

Quite honestly, the first thing I would want to know about any location you consider is "Has the power ever gone off during winter ?". Even if the answer is 'never', I would still be nervous about this idea. Think about when a possible power outage would occur - it would most likely happen during a blizzard. You might not even be able to get to the marina to check on the boat. Additionally, a marina could be low down on any priority list of locations needing to get their power restored. And if the power does go off for some reason, I don't see that there is anything you could do to save the boat.

Ahoy List,

I am thinking of leaving the boat in the water next year, upstate New York.
Any data for winter storage in low, still, tidal, fresh water with those ice
bubblers. Were might I look to determine the minimum depth of water. Cost
of hauling, wrapping & frame vs. Bubbler, genset fuel etc.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Ciao, Capt Joe
