T&T: Trawler Raised

I have followed this thread without commenting but the article puts some facts
up for consideration...
1. That the boat was taking following seas over the stern that flooded the
hull up to ankle deep in the first deck... Obvious question is, why did the
water enter the boat - one can surmise that hatches/ports were open or
broken...
2. One questions as to why the captain did not turn into the wind to take the
waves bow on? Which raises the question, did the boat have engine power and
were the pumps working? If the boat was drifting without headway or steerage
at the mouth of a river in a storm driven bar wave, the outcome is almost
predetermined...
3. Then there is the tantalizing hot tub floating with the debris... Assuming
it is from the ship, where was it mounted and was it loaded with water while
underway - top deck?

This whole thing is a lose-lose situation... The owners have lost their prize
possession and the designer is taking bad publicity that he likely does not
deserve...
