Sailcote sounds like a good idea - I'll give it a try - thanks. The "acid
test" of a lock lube are the locks on either end of the dink security cable.
The shore end lock invariably likes to leap from my hand for a swim!

BTW, graphite isn't ever a good idea on any stainless items.

John

>I spray all my locks with a shot of Sailcote about once a quarter. This dry
lubricant works well to keep locks working smoothly in salt water exposure.
Oh yea, never use graphite on locks that will be exposed to salt water.
Since it's conductive, it'll set up a nice little galvanic current that will
eat them alive.
