14:06-- Break in wind and rain. Aha says I, perhaps I can convince the bosun's
mate he should take some shore leave. Vet says he can go a couple days without
a bowl movement but only a question of hours without kidney action. I was
completely ambivalent on the matter except for the concept of, "pay me now or
pay me later." Inasmuch, due to my dilatory actions of yesterday evening, I
dropped Teri's kayac off the hardtop-- and didn't properly secure it-- I
needed to retrieve same. Double barrel mission. The bosun's mate removed the
kidney anxiety and I found the kayac. Back aboard Cigano and the wind's back
up. Not steady state but wild, powerful gusts that rock us, throw us up
against the fenders and lines.
The next existential question is. . . what's for dinner? I'm sure we can
muddle through.
My narrative would all appear to be parody except. . . it's happening to us
now. The other boats down the bayou appear to be OK.
Regards,
Larry and Teri
