T&T: best way to remove rubber stripe on hull?

We use Gel Gloss in liquid form for all types of clean up on the boat.  It
was designed as a Formica cleaner and polish.  Removes black shoe scuffs,
black run-off residue, diesel soot etc and also leaves a wax protective
coating.  It is also great for polishing SS rails.  It can be purchased at
any cabinet supply store, Home Depot, Lowes etc.  I have seen it in some WM
stores.

 

Use the liquid (like liquid wax) and not the aerosol spray.  Only drawback
is that it comes in a cheap tin can that will rust over time.
