T&T: best way to remove rubber stripe on hull?

I find that using a rag with the normal wax that we use does the job
perfectly.  It also re-covers the scuffed area back with wax to protect it.
We use Collinite's products and always have a half-used bottle of Fleet Wax
in the pilothouse.
