Subject: T&T: best way to remove rubber stripe on hull?

what is the best way to remove those pesky little rubber stripes when the
skipper gets too close to the rubber guards on the dock?
on my old catalina i used soft scrub with its dentifrice abrasive and
bleach. on my trawler with its new awlgrip paint, i want something less
toxic.

i tried WD 40 no help.

the ultimate cure is prevention. new glasses and hanging fenders?
