Detroit Diesel does not like this idea, and have told me that personally.
Even though the possibility of leaks are low, if the two systems end up as one the chance of low water in the engine is too high to risk, could cause total engine failure, 3K per hole to fix.  Your choice but I did not do it even though I live in the PNW, I installed a seperate diesel furnace instead, less risky.
