Hi Kevin
Unless your boat meets the requirements of EU RCD (Recreational Craft
Directive) it cannot be placed on the market in Europe.
This is the real pain behind market protectionism passed-off as "product
safety measures" & "consumer protection".
I am quite sure that a modern boat manufactured to USCG and ABYC standards
is no less safe than one made to EU RCD standards.
It's a real shame, we are desperately short of quality used trawlers in
UK/Europe and there are hundreds in the US/Canada.
