What is the experience of Nobeltec users on the board with MaxPro?

As a long time Nobeltec user, I've been pretty darned happy with the
program since its very first release. However, I recently tried an
upgrade from Admiral 9.3 to MaxPro 10.0 and find that some of the
features I came to like are no longer there. Namely:

--Streets and roads
--Chart color palette
--Ability to specify style, size and color of depth fonts

Admittedly, these are minor features, but when one upgrades to the
latest software one expects to gain features, not lose them. Nobeltec
support tells me that some of those are on the "wish list" but cannot
give me any estimate of when, if ever, they may be back.

Max Pro also seems slower to redraw screens using the C-Map vector
charts to me then when I was using Passport vector charts, though I
have not done a time comparison. A friend who also upgraded recently
has found this to be a huge problem, mainly (he believes) because he
has a very large database of waypoints and routes--Nobeltec tells him
they have two engineers working on the problem. I found the same issue
to be a problem with earlier versions, so I make it a practice to
routinely export my waypoints and routes and keep in the program only
those I'll need for the next few months.

I'm just wondering what others have found with Max Pro.

I kept a copy of Admiral 9.3 on my main navigation computer, installed
Max Pro on a separate computer. I'm afraid at this point I see little
to be gained by using Max Pro, so I'm inclined to stick with 9.3 as
something that better fits my needs. Have any of you done the same?

Thanks in advance for any insights you may provide!
