T&T: Dudley's Marina Fuel Prices

I noticed that someone said that Dudley's in Swansboro has some of the
lowest fuel prices on the ICW.  True, if they honor the price they quote.
Last year, they confirmed the price (on Channel 68) about a half hour before
we arrived.  After filling the tanks, the manager stopped the clerk from
ringing it up and said the price was fifteen cents more than quoted, per
gallon!  We argued and he finally came down a dime.  We could have bought
diesel cheaper the prior day, south of Swansboro.  Our credit card company
wouldn't allow our complaint, since we couldn't produce a WRITTEN quote
(could any boat?), even though we had witnesses on other boats who had heard
the quote and wrote to the credit card company.  We'll never use Dudley's
again.
