T&T: Digital TV Question

I just tested a similar deal this weekend. I am using a Shakespeare 
amplifier with an outside antenna but I am sure it is similar. What I had 
to get was a converter box with an analog pass through feature. When it is 
turned off it passes the existing signal through the box. When the power 
switch is turned on it converts the digital channels to channel 3. You have 
to search around because most of the boxes do not have this feature.
