Hello all,
Have had an electrical problem re-occur that I thought I had fixed. I have a
110 ac circuit which feeds four outlets. the first outlet is near the aft head
so is a GFI. The GFI had been tripping every so often and then more and more
frequently. I switched loads downstream of the GFI to other circuits but it
still kept tripping and eventually not resetting at all...even with no loads.
So, I figured the GFI was getting weak and replaced it. Problem solved...
Put the old loads back on the circuit (total load of entire circuit abt 7 amps
max) and worked fine for several weeks. Now the GFI is tripping again. I
removed the down stream load (abt 5 amps ) and GFI resets and stays set. But I
do not have a complete solution.
As for the downstream 5 amp load... it has never tripped any of my other GFIs
nor the circuit breaker at the panel.
Any ideas appreciated.
