T&T: Diesel Engine problem

The first thing I would do is to put a JD oil filter back on, if the  problem still exists you will have at least discarded the filter as a possible  cause without a lot of expense. You didn't mention if you had done anything  involving the fuel system or fuel filters before the problem started, if so the  cause might be there.
