Hi Everyone,
After selling our 44' Atlantic "Heart's Desire" last year, I was hoping to
hold off buying again for a while. Well, everyone here knows how that
works!!

So that you'll know just how crazy I am, I just purchased an 1963 31' Cheoy
Lee Monterey Clipper Troller. She's strip planked mahogony with a solid teak
pilothouse. Powered with a Perkins 4-236 with about 1300 hrs, that started
before completing one revolution!!

Having owned a wood boat in the past and having been given the survey from the
current owner, I surveyed the boat and sea trialed as well (last boat has
Perkins as well so some familiarity here). All went to my satisfaction as the
hull is dry and sound and the engine didn't skip beat at wot (temp and oil
pressure beautiful).

While I had said that my next boat would not be a project like all the prior
boats, I lied!! This boat is a project from the standpoint of sanding,
painting, varnishing. From what I was able to determine, should not require
any woodwork, and should it need some, been there, done that!

If anyone is interested in seeing some pics go to www.pilothouseonline.com ,
click browse classifieds and the 21-40' listings and you will find a link to a
web site. Very neat looking boat. So now I have purpose to my retired life
(aside from managing my yacht club in the summer).
