T&T: Can you use duct tape on Awlgrip?

The stuff you want is 3M Preservation Tape.

That tape peels off with usually NO residue and sticks great.  Duct tape can 
leave residue which is  a bear to remove, usually requiring solvent which 
may dull Awlgrip.  (This is the voice of experience with both speaking, 
using it to seal up window openings during a window replacement project.) 
It's sometimes called shrinkwrap tape, used when boats are put up for the 
season.  The downside:  quite pricey.  In my opinion, very much worth it.
