T&T: back, back to my engine stalling problem

I had a 28 foot Mako at one time. It developed fuel problems.
The problem was a crack in the pickup tube that went down into the tank.
The tank was a flat, 300 gallon foamed-in tank.
Air was coming into the fuel line and causing all kinds of problems.
The crack was not visible to the naked eye. The pickup tube had been
pulled several times looking for clues.
The boat was in Singapore so on one of their trips down to Singapore,
the Yamaha Japan crew came by the boat.
They found and the problem in short order. Prior to their visit, there
had been many hours invested in looking for the cause.
The crack was right where the tube made up to the piece that attached to
the tank - on the curve and just about invisible.
This was where the air was getting in and the source of many problems.
Good luck.
