After reading a recent list submission about someone working on a Westport
112, my curiousity got the better of me and I looked up the beast on Yacht
World - wow - nice ship! I also noticed under "Equipment" that it had 48" 5
bladed props.
It seems to me that the also recent discussion of props reached the conclusion
that the most efficient prop. would be one bladed (impractical, of course)
with a two bladed prop. being the most practically efficient. I don't want to
get the whole discussion going again but it seems that the 5 bladed prop.
would therefore be at the far end of the efficiency scale. What am I missing?
Is it speed related? If I have to buy two new props for the thing, it will
probably kill the whole deal! :>)
