Larry, Contrary to all of the hype about DVDs they do have a lifespan. Usually
the shiny part separates from the clear part and the problem begins. Basically
the layers begin to delaminate.  You may not be able to see it but it is there
and for some reason it happens faster on boats. They are pretty much fubar.
