Opinions differ about that. I used to travel to Seattle frequently to  
consult with Boeing. One day in the fall I found everyone outside  
looking at the distant mountains.
"What are you looking at?" I asked of the person next to me.
"Take a good look," he replied. "It's the last time you'll see them  
till spring."
