T&T: PNW'ers

I joined the British Army at age 15 and served for 12 years in various
"hotspots".
I broke my leg on my 21st parachute jump.

When I left the Army I drove a bus with 22 passengers from London to
Singapore.
I later married one of the passengers.

Following a spell as a copper in a large city I taught Design & Technology
in an English comprehensive school and suffered a mild heart attack before
taking early retirement to France.

Here I grow a few grapes, drink the product thereof and plan my next move.

Cruising the PNW sounds just what I need to add a bit of spice and
excitement to my mundane life - thanks for the tips Marin et al.

However, Bob Dearing, Alaska might be a step too far.

I can cope with hungry Orcas, icebergs and Russians but your scary Governor
makes Nicolas Sarkozy look like a big softy - too much excitement for me,
perhaps?

Regards - or should I say a bienttt

Bob, your new cat looks great.
