I certainly realize that I am being a little pissy (I know the reaction
many
have to being admonished), but I am glad this is being discussed by several
participants. This person had to pay $80 to pump out- that's pretty steep
and not a normal deal. This marina should be ashamed for being such a
predator. At my marina, it's included in the slip fee and STILL almost no
one does
it. Any transient - also free. Other respondees have come up with
rationalizations to pump overboard that are just that - it's wrong and you
know it and
you should clean up your act. Seriously, doo-doo in the water and
complaints
about how dirty it is?! Look in the mirror.

My last post on this; I got other issues to resolve. Please, everyone, be
kind to our waterways. In spite of the attitude some have about this - the
rules still apply to all of us. We police ourselves or someone will do it
for
us.

Regards, Jim

I paid $80 for a pump out in Palm Beach, the most I've ever
paid. But to make a blanket statement you should never pump overboard is
(I
believe) not realistic
