Unfortunately almost everywhere we go there are no pumpout facilities  
at all.  And on the occasions we've tried to use the ones there were,  
they didn't work and we were told they hadn't worked properly for at  
least six months.  Even the ones in our large marina only work about  
half the time.  We'll use pumpouts if they're there and if they work,  
but if they don't we do what it seems 90 percent of the boaters out  
here on both sides of the border do and not worry about it.  However,  
everyone I know does respect and support the no-discharge zones that  
have been created in the marine parks and low-turnover waters in BC.   
As I said before, regulations or no regulations, it's just common sense.
