I arrived at my marina Sunday night, in preparation to head out on Tuesday, after Memorial day. I was stunned to see EVERY transient slip full and excess transients?assigned to all the vacant permanent slips. About half?were power boats. This is Burnt?Store Marina near Punta Gorda, Fl. My neighbor?told me that every slip in the marina was?full for the entire weekend - and they have something like 550 permanent and transient slips. And that's with pump prices?here of $4.98 for diesel and $4.99 for gas.
Maybe everyone 's heading out on the holidays and staying home the rest of the time ?

We just got back from Garrison Bay on San Juan Island. On Memorial
Day weekend it is usually jammed with boats. This weekend, it could
best be described as empty. Has the fuel crisis hit to such an
extent that boats are just staying in their slips? If so, there are
going to be a lot of boats on the market soon.
Best,
Steve
