T&T: New coolers

I agree, these things are huge power hogs. My little beer cooler draws 5
amps continuously, never turning off. I tried it twice on the boat and
decided to put it up at the garage sale, where I originally got it from.

I am happy to hear the Peltier effect researchers have come up with a
way to cool 100F below ambient, BUT I'll bet they are power hogs. My
"beer cooler"
model surely is. My propane reefer will be a lot easier on the battery
bank.
My cheapo cooler has no thermostat, either. I imagine the super-duper
coolers will have one. Who needs beer cooled to 0F on a 100F day? :)
