T&T: Bill introduced re incidental discharges from recreational vessels

Representative LaTourette (R-OH) introduced the Clean Boating Act of  
2008 (H.R. 5949) to amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to  
address certain discharges incidental to the normal operation of a  
recreational vessel.  This bill, if enacted into law, would exempt  
discharges, such as deck run-off and effluent from a properly  
operating marine engine, from federal discharge permitting  
requirements. (5/1/08).
