T&T: Hot shore power connections

I have had the same problem after the plug of the shore power cord got dipped
into the salt water, unbeknownst to me. Corrosion of the wires caused high
resistance with the resultant burnt and partially melted male plug. I cut off
the corroded wire and replaced the plug. If the plug gets dipped in the salt
water it should be quickly and thoroughly rinsed in fresh water and then
dried.

<My question is should I throw these shore power cords away and buy new ones,
or are they ok?>
