T&T: 4D battery bank vs. 4 6v golf cart batteries

Four years ago I replaced my house bank of 4-8D's with 8-T106 6V batteries
and used 4 additional T106's for the start bank.  It has worked flawlessly.
I have twin Deere 225 HP engines.  The T106's still test and act like new.

I'm planning on replacing the 2-8D's in the bow thruster bank this Summer
with new T106's.  I love the idea of standardizing on one very manageable
battery so I can reconfigure it any way needed in an emergency.
