In fact, I have a squeeze bulb (outboard motor gas line type) that I valve
into the feed line to the primary Racor(s) for filling them.
After a few squeezes fuel is at the top of the filter. Put the top on
loosely, squeeze a little more till fuel begins to overflow and tighten up.
Valve the bulb back out.
The squeeze bulb is not in the fuel line underway so I don't worry about it
rupturing or not meeting fuel line standards.
I've tried the 'carry a little fresh diesel and pour in the top' bit. That's
way too much hassle.
