T&T: Sherwood Raw Water Pump Rebuild/Replacement

Based on folks experience is there a recommendation around replacing and/or
rebuilding the Sherwood P1730 raw water pump on the 330 HP Cummin's engine?

We have ~730 hours on our engine and P1730 pump with no issues and/or
visible signs of leakage yet (knock on wood). 

However since the Sherwood P1730 pump is now 6+ years old I was thinking
about proactively replacing it this spring as preventative maintenance to
ensure no issues.

For folks that have replaced theirs when did you do it based on Eng hours
and/or years and/or what caused you to replace it (e.g. symptoms)?

Also did you replace your pump with a Sherwood pump or did you use/consider
the SeaMax replacement being offered by SBMar that based on their write-up
looks to be "more robust"?

Any thoughts or recommendations based on your experience would be
appreciated.
