T&T: Best and smallest folding bikes ?

It is time for us to start looking for two-wheeled transportation to  
do land excursions and shopping.

What do you use ?

Which bikes are most compact ?
Which are the most reliable or have the highest quality ?

Do you use baskets to carry groceries on the bike or how do you get  
the groceries to the boat - do you use taxis instead  ?
