I also have an A/C system where one pump services 3 A/C units and had to
recently replace my pump.  The pump that failed was an 8 year old pool pump
that worked service free for all that time.  I replaced it with a Hayward 1
hp 60 GPH pool pump - price $375 and worked right out of the box.  Check
around, you may find a better price.

Good day list,
I have a Marine Air A/c system with four units running off the same water
pump, ranging from 12K BTU to 16 BTU.  The water pump has been very
temperamental lately and I would like to either get a reasonable cost spare
pump as standby,or get this one rebuilt, maybe both.  Are there rebuild kits
for these pumps?  I assume the problem is probably impeller related, but it
could also be in the armature I suppose.  The pump is an Oberhoser 109 MB -
J9, a 1/2 hp motor.  The one I previously took off a few years ago was a
different brand, so I'm really not tied to that particular brand.
I've checked all the hoses to and from the pump and all are clear, so it is
pump related.  Any thoughts on rebuild vs new, and suggestions on sources?
Preferably in the Miami Ft. Lauderdale area.
