T&T: "the best" AC system?

Thanks for all the comments on chilled water A/C. Now I know what to ask for
when I order my Outer Reef 115; Ha...;^)

I think the original thread was asking about A/C for a boat in the bay area.
I'm reminded of our cruise last July out of Fort Myers, FL (in JULY, my
God), on a GB42. We had 3 cruise-air units, I don't remember the size. The
best, I mean absolutely best we could do was get the salon down to about 88
degrees, with canvas covers on all the windows. The aft stateroom would get
down to about 82 at night, which was (relatively) delightful.

Everything is hot down in Florida in summer ... the gulf, the air, the boat,
the pool, the sand, ...

Ps. Not that I'm complaining about that cruise. Our neighbors in one marina
were on a 34' sailing cat with 3 kids under 3 and no A/C. How they managed,
I'll never know!
