This system lends itself well to reversing and heating  th evessel when in
very cool climates. Boats cruising from Alaaska to Mexico  are a perfect
application for this kind of system. Alaskan waters are too cold for a
reverse cycle system to be really effective.

Arild,

Can you enlighten us to the break point sea water temperatures for efficient
use of the heating side of the heat pump systems?  I was under the
impression the Puget Snd mid-40 deg. Temps in the winter were too cold to
effectively use the system for heating.  Thanks.
