T&T: ferrules?

Sometimes, the most difficult thing about ordering boat parts- or any other
kind for that matter-- is figuring out the correct name. If you don't know
what it is how can you find it on e-bay?

My water maker uses high pressure lines with brass 3/8" 45d flare fittings as
does my hydraulic steering system. As I inventoried the water maker parts, I
came upon a small packet of 45d beveled, brass or copper "washers". Figured
they were to put in the high pressure joints. Called the manufacturer and said
he didn't include enough. He said no, normally the flare fitting will seal
well but if you damage the face of the flare you might get a leak. These
"washers" will help to seal it.

Well, I didn't need them for the water maker but I did develop some small
leaks in the hydraulic fittings and they sealed them up perfectly. Now, I'd
like to order some from McMaster Carr or some other supplier to keep back as
spares but I don't know what to order. Any ideas?
