T&T: Northwest passage

An old coworker of mine and still working as a captain in Air Greenland,
called me some time during the winter and asked me what all this "stuff" about
global warming? He said that the day before they had record low temps up there
of minus (MINUS) 87 degrees celcius! That's bleeping cold...
He told me that this year on his flights from Nuuk in Greenland over to Inuvit
in Canada, he noticed that the ice was solid all the way across. He said that
it would be possible to walk across (LOOONG WALK). Northwest Passage? Probably
not open this year. I would not attempt it!
