"My problem is the fwd system is cycling, the aft system does not.? The work
I've done has been over a 7 week period so that I could assess each repair
on its own."

Ernest,

The proper way to isolate a vacuum leak in VacuFlush system is with a vacuum tester. A certified VacuFlush Dealer will have one or perhaps a another boater. With a system 17 years old I would suspect that you have either a vacuum switch?or a tank integrity issue since you plugged the tank end and still lost vacuum.?If during the life of the system someone cleaned it with household chemicals the diaphragm connected to the vacuum?switch may have a hole or distortion.?DO NOT turn the knurled knob on the vacuum switch, it is set by a machine and you will?probably have to buy a new vacuum switch if you can't find the small diaphragm carried by very few dealers. You can use shaving cream or foamy soap to find a vacuum leak as air is sucked into the tank rather than expelled. I usually take the tank out of the boat to bench test it unless you have easy access to the area around the tank. Contact me off list and I'll send you the troubleshooting manual.
