T&T: Garmin updates

To get an update for my Garmin 2006, I call Garmin tech support at 
(800)800-1020 and have them ship me the data card containing it (~$50). 
  I load it, and send the data card back for a refund.  This was 
Garmin's suggestion - they set up the refund authorization when I place 
the order.  Costs me only the return shipping.
