T&T: Airmar PB200

After much research and recommendations from the list I am ready to buy the 
Airmar PB100 ultrasonic weather station. Now I discover that they are 
releasing a new model, a PB200 which offers a 3 axis compass, an 
accelerometer and NMEA 2000 as well as NMEA 0183. I guess the better 
compass and accelerometer might be used for a compass for replacement for 
my old autopilot. I talked to Simrad and they said it might work but were 
not sure it would work.

Any thoughts if these advantages would be worth $200 and waiting for?
